These drills practice the adjustments real walking demands: stepping onto targets, changing direction, and clearing low obstacles. Gait-adaptability training has been shown to reduce falls and fall-related fractures. Start with planned patterns at comfortable speed and progress to reactive cues and added complexity as control holds.

When to seek a professional
- Two or more falls in the past 12 months, or any fall with injury
