Time-efficient training deliberately strips resistance work to the essentials: a few compound exercises, often a single hard set each, once or twice a week. Meaningful strength and function gains do occur at surprisingly low doses, because the dose-response curve is steepest at the low end. How much of the available benefit a minimal dose captures is not established, and the research reviewed for this library treats specific minimum-dose claims as preliminary. It is designed for people whose real alternative is doing nothing, where a brief, consistent routine vastly outperforms an ambitious plan that never happens.
