Eat Mediterranean-Style

Build most meals around vegetables, legumes, whole grains, olive oil, nuts, and fish.

Research consistently shows…

The Mediterranean pattern has the strongest, most consistent evidence base of any diet, associated across cohorts and trials with better cardiovascular risk factors and lower disease risk. Research consistently supports it as a practical, flexible default eating pattern for general adults.

Most meals feature vegetables + a whole grain or legume + olive oil; fish 1–2x/week; nuts most days beginner home

Common misconceptions
  • 'It needs expensive imported foods.' Beans, oats, frozen veg, and canned fish work fine.
  • 'It's a weight-loss diet.' It's a lifelong pattern, not a short-term cut.
  • 'One olive-oil drizzle makes it Mediterranean.' The whole plant-forward pattern matters.
