Neuromuscular training combines balance, proprioception, strength, and movement-control drills. In athletes, systematic reviews show it reduces lower-limb injuries, including ankle sprains and knee injuries, by improving joint control and landing mechanics. It is a well-supported, low-cost addition to athletic and recreational training programs.
