Daily Learning Habit

Regular, effortful mental engagement is associated with better cognitive aging and wellbeing (observational, Grade B/C). This routine helps you make that engagement a daily habit. Be honest about limits: staying mentally active supports wellbeing, but there is no proven 'far transfer' to general intelligence: do it because it is worthwhile and enjoyable, not for a guaranteed brain boost.

Grade inherited from the evidence blocks this routine implements. Duration is a starting point (do more or less); the app just tells you where you land against the evidence-based dose.

  2. 2
Make cognitively demanding leisure a habit
    10 min
Rotate a thinking-heavy leisure item you enjoy: a puzzle, strategy game, or short cultural piece.
  3. 3
    Why cognitively demanding leisure counts
    reference
Concept anchor: variety across activity types matters more than any single prescribed dose.
