Stretching for Recovery & Soreness: Limited Evidence

Despite popular belief, Grade-A evidence indicates stretching before or after exercise has little to no meaningful effect on delayed-onset muscle soreness (DOMS) or recovery speed. People may stretch post-workout for ROM or how it feels, but not as a proven recovery tool. We disclose this clearly to counter a widespread misconception.
