HIIT vs Moderate Continuous Training
High-intensity interval training and moderate continuous training both improve fitness; HIIT often yields similar or slightly greater VO2peak gains in less time.

Research consistently shows…
A large body of RCTs and meta-analyses comparing HIIT and MICT finds both improve CRF and cardiometabolic markers, with HIIT frequently matching or modestly exceeding MICT for VO2peak, often at lower time cost. Differences are usually small and depend on protocol, population, and how the doses are matched. Neither is universally superior; adherence and preference matter.
Either MICT (e.g., 150 min/week) or HIIT (e.g., 2–3 sessions/week) based on preference Any aerobic mode intermediate anywhere

Common misconceptions
- 'HIIT always beats steady cardio' (differences are typically small)
- 'Continuous cardio is obsolete' (MICT remains effective and better tolerated by many)
What we won't claim
- No cure claims for any disease
- No guaranteed outcomes or fixed numeric results for any individual
- Does not replace prescribed medical treatment
- No claim that HIIT is universally superior to steady cardio
When to seek a professional
- Chest pain, pressure, or unusual shortness of breath during exertion
- Fainting, dizziness, or palpitations with exercise
- Known or suspected cardiovascular, metabolic, or renal disease without medical clearance
