HIIT for Cardiometabolic Health

Structured interval training targeting blood sugar, blood pressure, and other cardiometabolic risk factors.

Research consistently shows…

HIIT programs improve cardiometabolic risk factors, including glucose regulation, blood pressure, and vascular function, in adults with overweight, metabolic syndrome, or elevated risk. Effects are consistent though modest and complement, not replace, medical management. Supervision or clearance is advised for higher-risk individuals.

This is the evidence-based dose. A shorter session still counts, it just gives partial benefit rather than the full effect.
Common misconceptions
  • 'You must lose weight first' (markers improve even without large weight loss)
  • 'HIIT is unsafe for metabolic conditions' (supervised programs are beneficial)
