Zone 2 Aerobic Base Training

Sustained, conversational-pace aerobic sessions that build an efficient aerobic base with low fatigue cost.

Research consistently shows…

Continuous moderate-intensity training at a conversational (Zone 2-type) effort reliably improves cardiorespiratory fitness and cardiometabolic markers and is well tolerated for accumulating volume. Evidence shows there is a minimal intensity needed to drive CRF, and moderate continuous work sits comfortably above it while remaining sustainable. It forms the endurance base that higher-intensity work builds on.

Common misconceptions
  • 'Slow cardio is a waste' (it builds the aerobic base efficiently)
  • 'You must be breathless to benefit' (conversational effort works)
What we won't claim
  • No cure claims for any disease
  • No guaranteed outcomes or fixed numeric results for any individual
  • Does not replace prescribed medical treatment
  • Not a uniquely superior 'fat-burning' intensity for weight loss
When to seek a professional
  • Chest pain, pressure, or unusual shortness of breath during exertion
  • Fainting, dizziness, or palpitations with exercise
  • Known or suspected cardiovascular, metabolic, or renal disease without medical clearance
