Individual Variability in Response

People differ in how much fitness they gain from the same program, so responses should be judged individually, not against averages.

Research consistently shows…

Multi-center and pooled data show wide between-person variation in VO2peak and body-composition responses to identical training, with some individuals gaining much more than others. This 'trainability' variability means average effects do not predict any one person's result, and adjusting mode, volume, or intensity can help low responders. It argues for tracking your own trajectory.
